Nvidia is intensifying efforts to engage artificial intelligence startups in India at the earliest stages of development through a series of new partnerships aimed at founders even before formal company formation. A key initiative is a collaboration with venture firm Activate, led by founder Aakrit Vaish, whose $75 million debut fund plans to support roughly 25 to 30 AI startups while providing them with access to Nvidia’s technical expertise.

The chipmaker also strengthened ties with local venture firms including Accel, Peak XV, Z47, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners, and partnered with nonprofit AI Grants India, co-founded by Vaibhav Domkundwar and Bhasker Kode, to support thousands of early-stage founders. Represented at the AI Impact Summit by executive vice president Jay Puri, Nvidia is positioning itself to capture long-term demand for its computing platforms as India’s developer ecosystem rapidly expands.
