Tokyo-founded startup InfiniMind, led by former Google executives Aza Kai and Hiraku Yanagita, has raised $5.8 million in seed funding to expand its artificial intelligence infrastructure for analyzing large-scale video and audio data. The round was led by UTEC, with participation from CX2, Headline Asia, Chiba Dojo, and an a16z Scout investor. The company plans to relocate its headquarters to the United States while maintaining operations in Japan.

InfiniMind develops AI systems that convert unstructured video archives and surveillance footage into structured, queryable business intelligence using advances in vision-language models. Its first product, TV Pulse, launched in 2025 to analyze television content in real time, while its long-form video intelligence platform DeepFrame is scheduled for beta release in March ahead of a broader launch in 2026.
