Former Fitbit leaders James Park and Eric Friedman announced the launch of Luffu, a new artificial intelligence startup focused on helping families coordinate and monitor health and caregiving needs. The company is developing an “intelligent family care system” that will begin as a mobile app and later expand into dedicated hardware devices.

Luffu uses AI to organize family health information, learn daily routines, and detect meaningful changes in well-being across multiple caregivers and family members. The platform allows users to track medications, appointments, symptoms, and health data using voice, text, or images. Park said the concept reflects a broader vision of health management that extends beyond individuals to families, aiming to reduce the complexity and mental burden of caregiving.
