NVIDIA and Qualcomm Ventures Join $1B India Deep Tech Alliance to Accelerate AI and Semiconductor Innovation

Nvidia and Qualcomm Ventures have joined the India Deep Tech Alliance (IDTA), a coalition of U.S. and Indian investors committing over $1 billion to support India’s emerging deep tech sector. The alliance, led by Celesta Capital, launched in September to align with India’s new ₹1 trillion ($12 billion) national Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) program.

Nvidia joins as a strategic technical adviser, providing expertise through its AI and accelerated computing platformsand training via the Nvidia Deep Learning Institute. Qualcomm Ventures, meanwhile, adds new investment capital and access to its global partner network, expanding total commitments by $850 million.

The alliance includes leading Indian venture firms such as Accel, Blume Ventures, Premji Invest, and Kalaari Capital, with the goal of advancing AI, semiconductors, robotics, quantum computing, and space technologies. Backed by India’s government RDI initiative, the IDTA aims to strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty and position India as a global hub for deep tech innovation.
