OpenArt, an AI video creation platform founded by two former Google employees in 2022, has unveiled its “One-Click Story” feature in open beta amid the growing popularity of surreal, character-driven “brain rot” videos among younger audiences. With over 6 million monthly active users, the startup enables creators to turn a sentence, script, or song into a one-minute video with a complete story arc, offering templates for character vlogs, music videos, and explainers.
Powered by more than 50 integrated AI models, including DALLE-3, GPT, Imagen, Flux Kontext, and Stable Diffusion, OpenArt emphasizes consistent character design and narrative flow — capabilities it says distinguish it from other tools. The company operates on a credit-based subscription model, has raised $5 million from Basis Set Ventures and DCM Ventures, and is projecting over $20 million in annual revenue. While the platform lowers barriers to AI content creation, it also faces ongoing challenges around intellectual property rights, with leadership stating they are open to licensing discussions with major IP holders.
