xAI, the artificial intelligence company founded by Elon Musk, has officially launched Grok Imagine, its new image and video generation tool, for SuperGrok and Premium+ subscribers on the X iOS app. The model transforms text and image prompts into 15-second videos with native audio and includes a controversial “spicy mode” that permits the creation of sexually suggestive content, including partial nudity.

Grok Imagine enters a competitive space alongside image generators from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and Runway, though early outputs still exhibit uncanny visual artifacts. While restrictions are in place — particularly around celebrity likenesses — the feature’s loose content moderation has raised concerns, echoing past controversies tied to Grok’s unfiltered behavior. The tool also includes auto-generation and animation features, with a polished user interface.
