Warden AI, the AI auditing platform focused on fairness and compliance in HR technologies, has announced a new funding round led by the founders of digital identity firm Onfido, recently acquired by Entrust. Early-stage investor Playfair also joined the round, which will fuel Warden’s geographic expansion and accelerate product development.
The funding arrives as scrutiny intensifies around algorithmic bias in recruitment, following the high-profile Mobley v. Workday lawsuit. Founded in 2023 by Jeffrey Pole (CEO) and Eduard Schikurski (CTO), Warden AI enables enterprises and vendors to audit and certify AI systems through proprietary datasets, fairness benchmarks, and live compliance dashboards — critical tools for navigating regulations such as the EU AI Act and NYC Local Law 144.
Already in use by platforms like Greenhouse, Sense, and Beamery, Warden AI is fast becoming essential infrastructure for responsible HR tech.
