Hirundo AI has closed an $8 million seed round led by Maverick Ventures Israel, with SuperSeed, Alpha Intelligence Capital, Tachles VC, AI.FUND and Plug and Play Tech Center participating.
The startup’s “machine unlearning” engine enables generative-AI systems to forget flawed or biased data, tackling hallucinations at their source rather than masking them through fine-tuning. A company spokesperson said the capital will accelerate product development and customer deployments “without the expense of full model retraining.” Early pilots in finance, healthcare and defense are already improving accuracy and regulatory trust.
Investors described Hirundo’s technology as a prerequisite for safe, large-scale AI adoption and signalled support for rapid hiring and international expansion. The firm will also expand its unlearning research team to deepen model reliability.
