Collibra, the Brussels-based data governance platform, has acquired local startup Raito to expand its capabilities in managing data access in the era of AI. Founded in 2021, Raito helps enterprises control who can access internal data — an increasingly complex challenge as AI agents proliferate across departments.

Collibra CEO and co-founder Felix Van de Maele said managing data access at scale has become a really big problem and traditional approaches are too brittle and manual to support AI-driven workflows.

Raito’s cloud-native platform will be integrated with Collibra Protect to automate and enhance access controls. While terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Raito had previously raised $4 million from Dawn Capital, Crane Venture Partners, and Collibra.
