ScorePlay Announces $20M in Funding to Revolutionize AI-Powered Sports Media

ScorePlay, the AI-driven media management platform transforming sports content distribution, has announced the successful completion of its latest funding round, securing $20 million in total funding. The round was led by 20VC, with participation from Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six, APEX Capital, and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s BYL Ventures. A roster of high-profile athlete investors, including Nico Rosberg, Pat Cummins, Édouard Mendy, and Ciryl Gane, also backed the company, alongside the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

Founded in 2021, ScorePlay uses AI-powered automation to centralize, tag, and distribute media across multiple platforms, enabling sports organizations to enhance content creation, engage fans, and unlock new revenue opportunities. The company now works with over 200 teams, leagues, and federations, including major U.S. franchises, European soccer clubs, and international federations.

Harry Stebbings, founder of 20VC, stated that ScorePlay is “setting a new standard for sports media”, helping teams adapt to evolving media consumption. Alexis Ohanian, founder of Seven Seven Six, emphasized that ScorePlay’s growth has been “remarkable”, noting his continued investment since the early days of Angel City FC.
